How do I know if a holistic provider is qualified?
I want to work with a naturopath or acupuncturist, but I’m not sure what credentials to look for. What certifications actually matter?

Look for state licensure where it exists (ND, LAc, LMFT, etc.) and national board certification in their modality. For herbalists, the American Herbalists Guild has a registered herbalist credential. Good providers also explain their scope and refer out when needed.
